Yes, KYC update is mandatory as per SEBON and CDSC regulations. All investors are required to keep their KYC information current. Failure to update KYC may result in account restrictions, including inability to trade, withdraw funds, or apply for IPOs. Please ensure your KYC is updated regularly, especially when there are changes to your personal information, address, or bank account.

To upload a thumbprint for online KYC:

  • Stamp your left and right thumbprints on a clean white paper.
  • Write “Left Thumb” and “Right Thumb” below the respective prints.
  • Take a clear, well-lit photograph of the paper.
  • Upload this image to the designated thumbprint field in the KYC form.

Alternatively, you may upload a clear photograph of the thumbprint from your Citizenship Certificate.

Yes, you may use a Google Maps screenshot or location image for your address, provided your current residence is clearly and accurately marked. However, a hand-drawn map showing your house, landmarks, and surrounding roads is preferred as it is the standard required format for KYC submission.

No, you cannot update your personal bank details in another person’s TMS account. As per SEBON’s KYC regulations and anti-money laundering (AML) guidelines, the bank account linked to a TMS account must belong to the same account holder. Each person’s own bank account must be registered in their own TMS account.

If your specific bank branch is not listed in the KYC portal, you may select the Head Office or Corporate Office of your bank as the branch option. The specific branch does not affect your trading or banking activities. Your account will still be correctly linked to your bank. If you continue to face issues, contact us at info@nabilstockdealer.com.np.

  • Check your transaction history under “Collateral Management” to confirm the transfer was successful.
  • If the amount is visible in your bank statement but not in TMS, contact us immediately at info@nabilstockdealer.com.np with your Client ID and a copy of the payment receipt.

Collateral loaded via Connect IPS typically reflects in your TMS account within 10–15 minutes. If more than 15 minutes have passed and the amount is still not showing, please email info@nabilstockdealer.com.np with your payment receipt and Client ID for assistance.

There is no specific upper limit set by Nabil Stock Dealer for loading collateral in TMS. However, individual banks and Connect IPS may have their own per-transaction and daily limits. Please check with your respective bank for applicable limits. For large transfers, a direct bank transfer to our account may be more convenient.

You may transfer funds directly to Nabil Stock Dealer’s accounts for collateral loading. For current bank account details, please visit our website at www.nabilstockdealer.com.np or contact our office at 01-5350892 / 01-5350893 during office hours (Sunday–Thursday: 10 AM – 3:30 PM).

Refunds are processed to your linked bank account. Please ensure your bank account details and KYC are up to date.

After selling shares on NEPSE, the settlement follows a T+2 cycle (Trade date plus 2 working days) as per CDSC and NEPSE regulations. Once settlement is completed, funds are deposited to your linked bank account within T+2 cycle.

The “Payment Due” notice in TMS is a system display and cannot be manually removed by the client. This notice does not restrict you from trading. We recommend cross-referencing with the account statement shared by our team via email rather than the TMS display. If you believe there is an error, please contact us at info@nabilstockdealer.com.np with your Client ID and a screenshot of the issue.

After selling shares, your account balance in TMS(Collateral) can be updated immediately after client requests. The amount is reflected after deduction of applicable charges including brokerage commission, SEBON regulatory fee, and Capital Gains Tax (CGT).

This is a known TMS display behavior. Once a refund request is submitted, it continues to show as “pending” in the system by default even after the refund has been processed. This will not affect your trading activities. If you wish to have this cleared from the display, please contact us at info@nabilstockdealer.com.np or call 01-5350892 with a screenshot and your Client ID.

Collateral refund requests submitted before 3:00 PM on a working day are typically processed within the same day or by the next working day. Please ensure your bank account details in TMS are correctly updated to avoid any delays.

Refund delays may occur due to the following reasons:

  • Mismatch in your bank account details registered in TMS.
  • Delayed settlement due to a Book Closure period of the company whose shares were sold.
  • Outdated KYC information — please verify your KYC is current.

Please send an email to info@nabilstockdealer.com.np with your client ID, date of sale, and the amount expected. Our team will investigate and resolve the issue promptly.

Purchased shares are transferred to your DEMAT account within T+2 working days (Trade date plus 2 working days) as per NEPSE and CDSC settlement rules, provided your collateral/ledger balance is clear. Occasionally, Book Closure periods of certain companies may cause delays. Please check the Book Closure calendar on CDSC’s website. If shares are still not received after T+2, contact us at info@nabilstockdealer.com.np.

PO share allotment is managed by the respective Merchant Bank or Registrar to the Shares (RTS), not by your broker. Please:

  • Check your allotment result at: https://iporesult.cdsc.com.np/
  • Contact the relevant Merchant Bank or RTS handling the IPO for your specific allotment query.
  • Allotted shares are typically credited to your DEMAT account within a few working days after allotment. Please allow some time before contacting us.

Shares take T+2 working days to settle and appear in your DEMAT/MeroShare account after purchase. Please verify your settlement date and check again by the end of that day. If the expected settlement date has passed and shares are still not credited, contact us at info@nabilstockdealer.com.np with your Client ID and trade details.

After purchasing shares on NEPSE, they are credited to your DEMAT account within T+2 working days (2 working days after the trade date). This is the standard settlement cycle as mandated by CDSC and NEPSE.

Yes, shares can be transferred between family members, but the process must comply with CDSC regulations. This typically involves an off-market transfer and requires:

  • Completion of a Share Transfer Form / DIS (Delivery Instruction Slip)
  • Valid identification documents of both the transferor and transferee
  • Payment of applicable transfer charges and Capital Gains Tax (CGT) if applicable

Please visit our office in person at IJ Plaza, Durbarmarga, Kathmandu for detailed guidance on the transfer process, or email info@nabilstockdealer.com.np for initial consultation.

WACC stands for Weighted Average Cost of Capital (in the context of share trading in Nepal, it refers to the Weighted Average Cost per unit of shares held). It represents the average purchase cost per share you currently hold, calculated based on all your purchase transactions.

WACC is essential for determining your Capital Gains Tax (CGT) liability when you sell shares. CGT is applied only on the profit earned (selling price minus WACC). Tax rates: 7.5% for short-term gains (held less than 1 year) and 5% for long-term gains (held more than 1 year) for individual investors.

  • Log in to your MeroShare account at meroshare.cdsc.com.np.
  • Click on “Purchase Source” from the navigation menu.
  • Select (tick) the relevant scrip (company shares) you want to calculate WACC for.
  • Click “Proceed.”
  • Read and confirm the terms and conditions.
  • Click “Update” to generate and save the WACC rate for that scrip.

This must be done before completing EDIS for any sold shares.

The holding period is the number of calendar days you have held ownership of a particular share. It is calculated to determine whether your investment qualifies as a short-term or long-term holding, as different Capital Gains Tax (CGT) rates apply:

  • Short-term (less than 365 days): CGT at 7.5% of profit
  • Long-term (365 days or more): CGT at 5% of profit

This calculation is done automatically in MeroShare based on your purchase history.

  • Log in to your MeroShare account at meroshare.cdsc.com.np.
  • Click on “Purchase Source.”
  • Then click on “My Holdings.”
  • Select (tick) the relevant scrip.
  • Click “Proceed” to view the holding days for that share.

This information is required during the EDIS process to accurately determine your CGT liability.
